Rev. Alfred Lanard Johnson was born in Memphis, TN. He attended Holmes Bible College and holds a B.S. Degree in Christian Ministry. He received his credentials in Clinical Pastoral Education from Greenville Hospital System. He was a ParaTrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division in the U.S. Army and graduated from the US Army Non-Commissioned Officers Academy and also graduated from the SC Police Academy. Rev. Johnson is currently retired.
Rev. Johnson has been married to Tamara Johnson for seven years. They have four children; Crystal, Kiera, Chris, Brayden, and one child who is deceased, David who passed away at 39 days old and was born April 22, 2006. While Rev. Johnson is a new member of Poplar Spring, he has been a minister for 15 years. Rev. Johnson’s community affiliations are: Prince Hall Freemasonry – Holy Royal Arch, Knights Templar, Azah Shrine Temple Shriner, St. Anthony Catholic School Board, and substitute school teacher. His hobbies and interest include hanging out with his children and working in his garden.
Rev. Johnson’s favorite Scriptures are the book of Psalms and his favorite song is “How Great Thou Art”. Rev. Johnson considers himself to be a servant and if it was not by the grace of God where would he be. |
